I live in KC and love driving 2 hours to Manhattan.  Truth be told, I had to pull over at the Wamego exit once due to becoming extremely light headed while driving with a raging Manhattanboner for an hour and a half.  So I just don't understand the problem with driving two hours.  Especially if it gives you a boner.  Thanks.

Being a doctor you were probably lucky to enough to handle it without any problems. Any advice for a fellow EMAW the next time it happens?

First of all, it's really important to maintain a steady pace of breathing.  Manhattanboners make the unsuspecting victim extremely vulnerable to hyperventilation.  Steady breathing is key to warding off vicious Manhattanboners.  Once you feel that your breathing is back to a normal, safe pace (anywhere from 15 to 120 minutes) start your car and make the exit on Coachbillsnyderhighway.  If you can't get your breathing down to a calm and comfortable level (not uncommon), turn your vehicle around and buy a nice spiced red from Wyldewood Cellars.  Don't forget to let it breathe.

Something everyone needs to remember: Fall harvest has started. Wheat planting has started. You're not going to get a lot of the season ticket holders who are involved in agriculture to 1) Go to KC for the game and drive 3+ hours 2) Go to the game whether it's there or in Manhattan. Thousands of these guys aren't going to make it to that game regardless.

soooo this should be the one game they go to all year

That was what was going to keep me from going on Saturday. But then I remembered I'm not a farmer so I bought my tickets.

That was going to keep me from going this Saturday as well but then I remembered I got all of my harvest and wheat planting done last weekend.

Just keep saying no one is going because it's a game vs. Iowa State.

Iowa State fans will continue to say no one is going because it's a game vs. Kansas State.

This is the crap rivalries are made of.
