Peggy Po’s/Nancy Neg’s  Missouri St. 9/11 Special Edition
On what is undoubtedly a Nancy Neg day in the history of Murka, creator of college football, let us begin with Nancy Negs and then slowly come on up for the Rising, come on up lay your hands in mine with a Peggy Po finish vanquishing all enemies foreign (and domestic).

Nancy Neg’s-

Defense

1 sack, 5 TFL, 1 fumble recovery, no interceptions

WE NEED TURNOVERS.  WE NEED NEGATIVE PLAYS.  WE NEED SACKS.
 :surprised: WE HAVE NONES! :runaway:

The run defense.  While we certainly finished a lot of hits in the A and B gaps early in the game, the pursuit angles were awful.  I pity to think about what Okie State and Baylor will do to this team.  The baby bears left the D stretched and gaping.  We shouldn’t even bother to clean up, because the season long gang bang is just starting.  If we some how, some way bowleg our way to the post-season it will be no thanks to our front 7.  This could not be more depressing because the North still looks weak enough for us to make a perennial pseudo-run at the crown.

The pass defense.  Yeah, it pretty much sucked too.

Special Teams

The kicking game.  Again?  Fake FG?  I know Snyds always does something similar in the early games to get it on tape or to exploit a weakness as a back-handed favor to the coach of the patsy, but this one had a whiff of desperation.  Not because there was ever truly a threat that we would lose the game, but because the crowd was already groaning about the lost points.  It is entirely possible that Snyder had his mystical game plan already set to account for this exact situation and the team was fully prepared to execute it without fail, but it came off looking cheap.  Particularly when the kicker’s own extra point try was missed and Cantele was unceremoniously yanked.  We are a ball-control, loathe to pass team.  We are not coming back from 2 scores down without a tremendous amount of time left on the clock or a turnover or three.  To not gimmie from 30 yards and in is a problem.

Peggy Po’s+

Offense

Lazr Arm  He is really doing it for me in a big way.  The two moments that defined the day for me were 1) the 42 yard TD pass to Brodrick 2) 1st half, 3rd down in the Red Zone Lazr checked to a bubble screen.  He then threw it to the slant and we missed the field goal.  However, he made a good check, but post-snap made the wrong read.

The take away -- in a glorified scrimmage he was able to throw the ball down field, when not under pressure he will not turn the ball over and he can accurately get the ball to his receivers.  He is not going to win us games with his arm, but he has shown that he might be able to keep us in games given some help from our talented running backs and the defense.  His continued presence at QB is a reflection of Snyder’s philosophy and he will stay here until he has an absolute meltdown.  Hopefully this does not happen until the Nebraska game.

Daniel The Wildcat looked about as well as it could.  Thank God for Powell because without him he would be staring at the prospect of close to 300 carries.  There is really not anything I can say about him that would be commiserate with his EMAW.  Only Poet Warrior can do him justice.

Powell I am very excited about this talented youngster.  I think he could be the difference for us in at least 1 game and he could be what gets us to a bowl game.  The Wildcat or him with Thomas and Harper makes us a legit, explosive offensive threat that is generally missing when CC is touching the ball.  Plus Kick Returns!

Harper A CATCH!

Wilson is the best FB in _______.  The blank is expansive.  If you ask a white Kansan the response may well be “the history of football.”

Punting looks solid and this is important considering our defense.

Snyder He is roping me back in.  The son of a bitch is roping me back in.

Can you be a Peggy Po and think Wilson's blocking wasn't good, and also be pissed off with OB?  Sometimes he over coaches other times he acts as if he's worried about getting out quick to watch Matlock, declining the running into the punter?

Also as a Peggy Po I loved late when CCQ went through his progression and went underneath to McDonald.  Of McD dropped the pass when he was 10 yards open, but I loved seeing CCQ go through the progression while being flushed out of the pocket.
