Is that Courtyard in Junk Town??   Looked pretty nice.

MHK . . . fly into a jet capable airport, 10 minutes to the football stadium, nice Courtyard by Marriott just down the road.

ku . . . fly into MCI or Forbes, 30 to 60 plus minutes to the football stadium, then off to O.P. KS for the overnight stay, then another 45 minutes back to the stadium on game day, then another 30 to 60 minutes back to the airport after the game.

We saw the AA bird make a victory pass over BSFS prior to kick off.  Beautiful.

Could anyone really tell the surroundings being any different from them leaving LA to them hitting the MHK?  Almost like our sister city..
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

Why is it weird?  They, like everyone else also got a police escort here too.  Pretty much the only way they'd get to the airport without being in traffic for 3 hours.  crap my high school basketball team got a police escort when we played in Dodge City.

Having lived in both Los Angeles and Manhattan Kansas, I get a kick out of seeing the contrast? between the two places. For the record, I love 'em both, but I am first and foremost a Wildcat. PS: I love? this song. I remember hearing it on the radio driving up the 405 and rocking out to it.
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.
