People from other schools are very weirded out by our mascot. I love the d00d, but you have to admit it is slightly creepy. I think if we were to give Willie arms and legs that match his big animal head, it would look way better/not as bizarre. I'm not talking big goofy mascot arms and legs. Something kind of form-fitting so he can still maintain his mobility, because I wouldn't be able to live with myself if my "Should we give Willie arms and legs?" thread led to fewer very entertaining and high quality Willie skits/Willie skit tackles because of his limited mobility.

Am I being :powerespect:?

I like Willie the way he is. No need to break a long tradition just to try (and fail) to get more exposure on ESPN commercials or whatever other perceived benefits there are.

If Willie could dunk and kick FGs like he used to, he would get more cred as costumed 'cots can't do that. Having a yell-leader with a big head is not impressive.

I personally like the "head only" approach. It kind of brings the Every Man A Wildcat concept to life. If you don't like Willie, well... you're just not EMAW, just a fan of KSU athletics. Sorry to burst your bubble.

I always thought Willie should cover the skin on his arms and legs. Just wear an under-armor like shirt under the football jersey and receivers gloves, with knee high socks or tights on the legs. For basketball just wear the long sleeve warm-ups and pants.

I think willie looks ridiculously stupid during basketball season.

QFMFT, nicname. Gooch is a cooch. Willie looks at his best when it's a November game and he's wearing his gloves and long sleeves to keep warm under his football pads. The less human skin you can see, the better. This, combined with the missing shoulder pads, is what makes basketball Willie look so ridiculously heinous.
