lane collins September 13, 2010 | 8:41 a.m. Ally, it's nice of you to defend the Derrick that you have come to know, which I am sure is the one he wants everyone to see, the one who claims to put " God and family first", well I hate to tell you this, but you have been shammed. I know, because YES I was there on several accounts when he has BEAT and shamelessly physically,sexually, and verbally abused this same girl. And guess what? This is only the first time she is standing up and doing something because she is your stereotypical victim of abuse. Also, she has had a very long and serious relationship with Mr. Washington and even though she knew what he was doing to her was wrong, she loved him and didn't want to be THE ONE who ended his athletic career here. Luckily, someone that he abused who had no emotions attached to him or the situation stood up and broke the news so she didn't have to and NOW when he abused her for the final time she wasn't scared to come forward. He can no longer threaten her of ending their relationship, he can no longer tell her it will be her fault when he doesn't get to the NFL and therefore can't provide her with a glamorous life with beautiful things (of course he promised her he would marry her and be with her when he got to the NFL). PEOPLE, this is manipulation at its best and he is truly a monster.Anyone who knows the real Derrick Washington, knows that he has been physically abusing THIS woman that- that yes, I personally know for a FACT- for the past few years.I am not condeming Derrick, but I know that he has done this several times and that it is NOT OK. This girl is tiny and he is a serious monster, she is my friend, you should see her face. It is completely horrific. I bet if you had one look at her today you might change your tune, because you defending him the way you are - when you clearly don't know him- is making me sick to my stomach and honestly, knowing what she has gone through it makes me want to cry.Ally, I also wanted to comment on your theory of "caught and uncaught", let me just be clear here,Derrick has done this SEVERAL times throughout the past few years and never gotten caught. In fact, our group of friends who knows him and the girl and the situation all to well, were glad when we heard about the sexual assault charges brought forward, because although that was a situation we weren't aware of previously, all we could think of was all the times he has beat our friend and treated other woman questionably and not gotten caught.Karma's a B. And TRUST ME, everyone who is reading this, it is about time this has caught up with him.
