That's actually a mellophone, brah.  But it is usually used in the marching band by people who typically play French horn in regular band/orchestra.  *Note* I only know this because those were the nerds I used to target to beat up when coming out of the lockerroom after high school football games, where I'd rushed for, like, 680 yards every game.
