The video is messed up. Whats even more messed up is in a situation like this, their biggest hope is to have the cop fired. If a citizen did that, he'd be put in jail. TBL, what kind of rights does a citizen in that situation have to fight back? What if that guy had a CCW license and pulled the gun on the cop after the first hit? Or do you pretty much just have to grab the ankles and hope for a decent lawsuit?

Fighting back would have just resulted in a worse beating.  Pulling a gun would have resulted in that dude getting shot and probably killed.  No idea why the other cops didn't stop that dude.  Bunch of pieces of crap, IMO.  One bad cop/person is one thing but there was a group of them right there, trying to subdue 2 skinny guys, who weren't even resisting.  Not one of them was a decent enough person to bring some semblance of sanity to that situation?

I understand your first two sentences. That's kinda why I brought it up. Someone randomly starts to beat ass, you fight back. They have a uniform on? Go limp.

Not saying it's right, but it is true.  Nothing else you can do.  Those other cops aren't going to let you beat that cop up, regardless of whether or not he deserves to get his ass kicked.  They're just going to come over and assist him in the beating of your ass.   Dude must have not sustained too much physical damage to only receive 17,500.  If they had really mumped him up, he probably would have received a lot more.

Yeah, it zoomed in and then panned way the eff out when the cop started whooping on him.  Then it sorta zoomed back in after it was over.  Seemed kinda strange to me.
