I actually think Coffman will be fine this year.  Not great, but solid enough for us to get to 7, maybe 8 wins.

Harper was pretty darn good at QB when he had an arm that was all fracked up.

The GPC story on Harper said it all.  Bill was sneaky, telling Chris that they need another receiver for last year's QB's to work with and how Chris was so good at it, they decided to just keep him at that position.  I second guess Harper's intelligence based on how he just accepted this and moved on.  I mean, this is why he left Oregon...to play QB here.  Now he is happy playing WR.

I am just inclined to think that Harper is both self aware, and very prideful.  He knows he's better suited for WR.

Do you really, in your heart of hearts, believe CC14 can win 4 or 5 Big 12 games?  We only play 3 at home, and they're against programs w/ much much calmer waters.  CC14 could[/i] lead us to 6-6, but he won't.

I don't expect CC to lead us to, or be the reason why we win any games at all.  If he can just hand the ball off, complete the passes he should complete, and take care of the ball then I expect DT, DRob, Brod, Tramaine, etc to win us 4-5 conference games.

I absolutely agree with you, JTKSU.

What have you seen from him that makes you believe he can do this?

His point, ZmoneyKSU, is that it is CC's job to simply not lose the game for us.  I believe that he is capable.

If, however, he cannot make passes and is a turnover machine, it is OBz's job to put in the best athlete behind center and hope for the best.

I know he can handoff and I've seen him throw the ball with a decent amount of accuracy. He just didn't have it upstairs last year.  Looked freaking terrified and was in way over his head.  IF he can just complete the short to mid-range throws at like 50% (not a good percentage) we will score enough points to win some games.  If he can't or turns the ball over a bunch, pull his ass and try someone else.
