I like the setup of this schedule. A lot.

It appears front loaded to me.  I could see us playing pretty well and being as bad as 3-3 to start the season.

Kind of a business in the front, party in the back type of schedule.

I like opening w/ Ok St.  For some reason they usually suck at the beginning of Conference play.
A&M/BU back2back will be tough.

Great conference schedule for a season ticket holder.  4 weekday games.  4 weekend games.  But, two of the weekday games could turn out to be some of the best - most compelling - matchups in the 10-11 NCAA season. 


Nothing worse than driving two hours on a wednesday to watch dog-crap bball.  Fortunately, onle have to do this twice this season.  (CU and NU).

I've been there a few times and never been in a hotel close to the bars.  I did choke out an ISU fan though at what used to be People's.

I have been to this game the past two years. My advice...hang out in Des Moines as much as possible.

Pretty much have to stick with the reliables out by the interstate. Only a couple miles to 'town' past some bean fields, fairly secluded. Good drunk-driving road (few cross-streets or cop hiding spots). Have made that trip numerous times without going to jail.

Probs 8 on the non-gross scale but the AC/heating units are kinda loud. They are VERY receptive of public drinking/swearing in the lobby however, which makes it the perfect place for a pak. Ask for Linda.

Havs, go ahead and chime in if you have alternative advice.
