Dwayne Bowe is ridiculously stupid. First, why not just hang out in your mansion and smoke there? If he's ever been to Riverside before he should know there is ALWAYS a cop at that intersection. Unless the cop is refilling his coffee at the QT down the road, there is always someone there. I'm guessing he lives in those super huge houses in Briarcliff. I've been pulled over there before, the cop will find any reason to stop and check you. I was slowing down to a red light, going no more than 10mph. As I was about 20 feet from the intersection the light turned green, so I released the brakes and kept driving. The cop pulled me over for not "coming to a complete stop", which was BS. I didn't get a ticket but he still got to peek inside my windows and check me out.

Wouldn't put falsifying a police report past them (in my case just leave off the detail that the light had just turned green). It sounds like Bowe gave them a reason (48 in a 35), although about 20 feet the other way from that intersection the speed limit becomes 40. They camp right where the sign is.

Most likely a suspension won't happen until next season.  Usually the NFL waits for the courts to do their thing.  The court date (currently Dec. 18th) could easily get pushed back allowing Bowe to play the rest of the season without worrying about a suspension.

No it would get pushed back far enough that it won't even get in the way of playoffs and Super Bowl.  League won't want to punish until court has completed.

guys, as far as I can tell, he's charged in Riverside Muni, not Jackson County.  With a quasi-non-Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) lawyer, D.Bowe's getting diversion, some community service, and everybody forgets all about this.  Worst case scenario, his attorney pushes it out 6 months and he pleads to an amended charge next spring.

well, to start, a continuance may not be the correct mechanism to push the dates out, and it certainly wouldn't be the only thing available. the second thing i see wrong with what you represented is making it seem like jan. or feb. would be the latest something like this could be set out, when really it is more flexible than that if approached correctly. if it is a muni case, that changes things from an operational standpoint, but probably won't change much from the aspect of flexibility.

was responding to the post which assumed it was in another court. even in muni you can set a trial date 3 months down the road and it wouldn't be a continuance. don't really care to discuss it much further.
