Also, omg, look at these different timestamps, but please forgive me for having a new thought. Why are you still talking about Peters in the Chiefs thread? LET. IT GO!

Great schemes.  Mahomonster was great as was Hill.

The D was so tight and really locked down SD.  Only gave up 33 first downs and 547 yards.

I disagree with dax, the defense is terrible

Mahomonster is a very lazy daxisim as well, I personally expect better from both dax and the defense.

Hitchens can ball tho, good pickup.

Beat in coverage badly for a TD once, but looked good otherwise.

Defense was as good as you could've hoped for.  12 points through 3 and slowed San Diego down for their two garbage time TDs. I still think we overpaid like crazy for an ILB but Hitchens looked good.  Ford looked pretty disruptive as well. A healthy Eric Berry and this defense might be a top 20ish unit.  I think that would get the Chiefs to the playoffs.

Pretty impressed with Mahomes.  He not only avoided an interception, but I don't think there were any passes that San Diego even had a shot at.

Nice to start with a road win against the team everyone picked to win the division.

I'm really happy that Mahomes is the real deal. This could be a hell of a ride.

If nothing else, we avoid K-State offense on Saturday followed by Alex Smith offense on Sunday.

his td pass to the fullback was his most impressive throw, a lot could have gone wrong there although for the most part i think reid did a good job with the game plan and keeping mahomes in relatively safe situations too

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Loved the scramble throw to Hill along the right sideline for ~30 yards too

I think being part of the anthem protests distracted Travis Kelce.

I didn't watch it all, so i may be off base here...but was the Ty Hill jump ball in the first half kind of ill-advised? The circus catch Williams had in the 2nd half where Mahomes kind of forced it was questionable.
But it was a really great game for him. I have a feeling he will have several tip INTs just because of his rocket arm and WRs not able to snag them. The good will outweigh the bad tho.
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.

Patrick made throws in that game alone that Smith wouldn't attempt in a season.  It was fun to watch.

I thought the Hill jumpball was more of an under-throw than a poor decision.  I may have missed the Williams play.

Agree that the FB pass was amazing.  The touch to get it over the defender and zip to hit him in stride.

Obviously Peters was a huge thug.  So glad Chiefs got rid of him.
