the talking point of "well the chiefs weren't going to sign him long term once his contract was up, so you may as well get something in return for him now" is now confirmed complete nonsense, since they traded two years of the best player at his position (making essentially zero dollars) in return for an absolute steaming pile of garbage that will not help the team in the next two years. guess dax was right CHIEFS 2020!

Salary Cap Update -

Not sure why Tamba has not been cut. But when he is, we will be 28.5M under the cap. The 6 draft picks we have in the 2018 draft are pro-rated to make approx 4.1M. That would take us down to about 24.4M

Other players who could be cut -
1) Ford. Would save 8.7M if he is released by March 14
2) Bailey. Would save 6M if released
