Giants would likely have gotten a FG, so it's more like he gave up 3

The offense couldn't score double digits. Sad & pathetic.
*Smith had 27 completions. 13 were for 5 yards or less.
*We couldn't run the ball on 1st down. On said down, Hunt had 13 carries for 38, West 2 carries for 4. Of those 15 runs, only 1 went for over 5 yards.
* Holding penalty on first FG drive (nullified Hunt 18 yd run to 8)
* KC had ball at 31 with 51 seconds. In 6 plays they only got 26 yards. Had to kick FG from the 5 yard line with 5 seconds left. If there had been 7 seconds, maybe we get 1 crack at the Endzone from the 5

This logic is idiotic. They had a 40+ yarder FG coming and their FG kicker had already missed an extra point that day in windy AF conditions.

Wacky,
NyG were at 13 yd line on 3rd & 7 when Peters penalty occured. If it's an incomplete pass, it's a 31 yd FG try.
Is that a lock for 3 pts. No, but it wasn't 40+ yd FG try either.

KC ran 34 "1st down plays"
16 were designed runs (Hunt 13, west 2, Hill 1).
18 were drop backs

KC ran 36 "2nd or 3rd down plays"
1 of those was a 2nd down West carry to run clock out at end of the 1st half. Of the other 35 plays, only 7 were designed runs (Hunt 5 West 1, A.Hunt 1). Other 28 plays were dropbacks.

Now we didn't run well on 1st down, but no matter what yardage was gained via run/pass, we barely tried to run on 2nd or 3rd.
For what it's worth....Hunt had 5 for 35 on 2nd/3rd down carries (13 for 38 on 1st)
