What would you guys say to be the best source for an overall relative player (all players) rankings list?

i am in a league of 13 other guys and have been for about 5 years.  Some are friends and cousins, and then the rest are just people that i know but am not close friends with.

A couple of us lost in the first round of the playoffs last week, and we decided to empty our rosters for the rest of the playoffs so that we can get a better draft pick next year.

Woof, fantasy football is serious business.  Pretty sure we killed the league.  There are about 10 different threads on the discussion board about how terrible we are.

like you dropped all your players or you benched them?
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

Very bitch move IMO. If your commissioner is worth a damn he'll fix this.

My league has last place pick first too, but other than the champ and runner-up the order reverts to regular season standings. No one GAF about consolation brackets.

That's a good rule. One of the leagues I am in needs to implement something like that. I won it last year and this year we started with two keepers (I kept Adrian Peterson and Arian Foster) then it was random draft order to start and I got the second pick (grabbed Brees).  People were pissed

Why would you ever want first pick? I hate not having my second pick until the end of the second round.

Let's just assume we're dealing with a 10 team league for simplicity's sake... If you pick #1 you get 3 of the top 21 players, including the top player.

Also, the difference between the value of the #1 player and the #10 player is usually a bigger gap than the difference between #11 and #20.

Keeper leagues are different though since the top 10 guys are usually off the board.

Fun fact: Alex Smith has more fantasy points than Tom Brady in a standard scoring league!  :D

I like to pick between 4-6 in a 10 team league. The top 5 RB's are usually interchangeable. Hell, AP was considered to be easily the #1 pick this year and he won't finish as the best back.

It's a crapshoot.  I doubt that if you picked 1st or 2nd next year you wouldn't take AP as one of those picks.

Hating Francis, are you winning your league? I have almost the same team as you. Well, I have the people you mentioned. I lead my division and won half of the trade money.

Just benched the players

Why would I want to play it out and maybe get 5th place when I could throw it and get 8th? 3 spots is significant in FF, but not significant enough for a 50+ year old man to call us assholes imo

You make a point, but the winner from last year (me) gets first pick in our league and he's been sitting for 5 weeks (Rodgers). Luckily I jumped on Foles before anyone else.
