But you see, "grassroots" giving simply isn't important.   Just go ask the Powertards who argued for years that growing the Ahearn Fund simply wasn't important, just like leaving empty seats in the football stadium was more important than lowering the prices and selling them.

Also note that they blew past the all time record during one of the worst economic periods in our nations history.   Meanwhile Timmy Wesier and company couldn't even touch those numbers during some of the most lucrative economic times in our history.

So does an athletic director not too lazy to do his f*cking job.

Hell, it only cost me an extra $100 to upgrade the seats from sect 3 row 32, to sect 4/5 row 4 on the aisle.

I still go back and forth on which buyout I'm paying for that I find more dispicable and offensive, Tim Weiser's or Ron Prince's.

It's borderline criminal the amount of outright incompetence running amuck at high level leadership positions we had in place during the majority of the past decade.  It truly is.

You see this crap and you just shake your head.  If people had just f*cking done their job for instance we wouldn't even be discussing why we're the last school in the Big XII to build a f*cking basketball practice facility.

It all goes back to Wefald imo.  The day he decided he had the golden touch was the day this rough ridin' disastor movie started filming.

Oh but you see.  Tim Weiser has been given a lifetime free pass by the Powertards because by golly he knew better than to give Ron Prince a super mega buyout.   I am going to use a few lines from some well known folks as an analogy to that kind of logic:  Chris Rock makes fun of guys who brag because they don't go jail . . . Chris says you're not suppossed to go to jail you low expectation havin motherf_cker.   A coach who was always good for a one liner was Abe Lemon, and Abe Lemon quote that would fit right in with the analogy of heaping high praise on Tim Weiser for not giving Ron Prince a super mega buyout:  "Congratulations, you out rebounded a dead  man" . . . Abe Lemon to a 7 footer on his team who got 1 rebound.

I feel partly responsible for Wefald's mentality.  When my bros and I were drunkenly watching one of Asbury's open practices during a football tailgate, one of the 'cats missed a layup or something and one of us yelled "Wefald would've dunked it!".  He was across the arena and beamed with pride when he heard it.  Asbury had us kicked out (me and bros, not Wefald).

This is very impressive, especially given the current economy, a football program that's been terrible for nearly a decade, and the whole Ron Prince debacle. John Currie really needs to be given a lot of credit for this.

He does.

And Tim Weiser needs to be outed for the incompetent, lazy f*ck that he was as well.

Just imagine, if that fracking Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) had put one iota of effort toward fund raising during the economic boom of the 2000's coupled with the success of a Big XII championship level football team, we would have elevated that Ahean donor level to the point where are now 10 years ago and would have another $40 to $50million in our coffers right now as we speak.

Why bother with that when there's self enriching MOU's to draw up, bird hunts to plan and loans from the athletic department to be asked for??

We'll see how much of a debacle this ends up being for ku.  At least they've got a National Championship to show for their cheating and financial dilemma.  We didn't get jack sh*t out of millions we're dolling out to these clowns.

Yep, but the E8 is under the new regime................

Alright, I'll give them Frank, but Weiser had to be begged and pleaded to pull the trigger on Huggins.  His consultant, Eddie Fogler, was the guy that got that deal done.
