fracking animal planet in my backyard. have a window well and a little bunny was stuck down there today. thought about grabbing him and skinning him and starting a fire with a camera lense like they did on the kody/army guy survival guy show to cook him. then thought i'd just grab him and let him out. would his parents take him back though? he'd smell all human and stuff. took a sierra nevada pale ale twelve pak box and forced him to jump in and them picked the box up and put it in the yard and let him out.

w/in the last year i've had frog(s), snake(s), a mouse, a hamsteresque type creature, and now a baby bunny down there. i asked bsac if he'd purchase a weatherproof camera out of the site profits and we could stream animal type footage for the site. haven't heard back. thoughts? ideas? suggestions?

yeah. no doubt. i'd want a rotating camera that i could control w/ a remote control type device though. that's not cheap. there's the hold up. had some kind of ladybug invasion last year as well. insane.

snakes have all been garter snakes from my untrained eye. most small, some kinda big though. mowed the yard about a month ago and saw three. one popped out of his hole at an incredibly inopportune (sp?) time and i ran over him. total accident. i'm mowing a straight line in my byard and he just hops his head and body up the eff out of no where two feet in front of the mower. surprised the hell out of me. felt bad.

rodents, not so sure. field mouse or something i'm guessing on one. the other one was weird. really weird. don't know what it was. not a mouse. not a rat. will def start taking pix of these fuckers though. may start charging for tours or something.

hmmmm, not sure. don't remember a long tail of any type from memory. didn't really look like either from what i remember. it was last year that we had the weirdo though. will check w/ people who saw him more than i did. ithey seemed to have an idea of what he could've been. maybe give me names/options and i could figure it out.

it was like a constant zoo last year, cause the basement window looked directly into the small well area. non stop animal viewing. threw a branch down there for the snake to help him get out. didn't know if he'd need it or not but he liked to hang out on it. eventually left.

the second one has a v. short tail. probably what he was, although there are a couple of other short-tailed options (look pretty similar).

prairie vole - really, really common on the prairie, but you don't see them in town that much.

yeah. dunno. i mean, i'm in town, but i'm kinda not. big fields all around me. did not mention the v small weird frog type thing that was down w/ the mini rabbit today. i did not rescue him. not sure why looking back on it. should have. also did not look normal froggy type. i will go back today and take pix and rescue it if appropriate.

also will show pix above to people who were more familiar w/ him and report back.

they were down there together like bff's. prob an area of five feet by two feet. totally just hanging together. had the feeling that they were a team.

Clearly mini-rabbits lull mini-frogs into a false sense of security. At the end of the day, its a heartless rough ridin' killer though.

i had a big bowl of kstateos for bfast this morning. i'll check and see if the frog thing is still down there in a bit. no way he coulda got out on his own though. he's eather down there and alive or dead. _fan- can you make a shirt with a bowl of kstateos and milk on it for the frog?

Being from Manhattan, I pretty much know every animal in that area, and I've never seen one of these frogs.
