PBS is replaying it on Wednesdays (I think)  really good.  Anyone else watching/seen already?

I bought the entire set for my Dad one year on christmas.  Very good program.  Baseball fans are natural nostalgics.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I've caught parts of it recently.  I think I still have it on some very degraded tapes somewhere from the first time it was on.  Not as good as Civil War (nothing else even close), but still pretty damn good.  IIRC, Stan Musial was not mentioned in the series, which was odd.  This is where Buck O'Neil really became a national name, bringing his stories that those of us blessed enough to have grown up in the KC region had heard for years to the rest of the country.  Without that film, there would have not been a "lifetime achievement award" named after Buck in the HOF.
