Does anybody else think of Sutherland's Lumber Co. when they look at the ISU practice facility?  100% serious question.

Would probably go all Zack Morris on them and shoot oil all over the model.

I've never seen more ALCO's then when driving to/from SWKS pak.  I guess after I left smaller-town KS, I assumed they'd all gone bankrupt or something.  And now ISU is running around putting up new ones  :barf:

No, we have a purdy rendering with like red buds and it looks like oak trees out front. Should have more SUVs in the parking lot on accounta how our team rolls.

Here's what we can do/should expect for about 20 million dollars. I've been in Virgina Tech's and the pictures don't even do it justice, it's incredible.

If we are REALLY spending 20 million with todays prices we should expect nothing less. No half-ass Bramlage type deals. Let's do this one right K-State.

Maybe some rough ridin' limestone in BSFS while we're at it?

p.s.
when I say EXPECT I mean it. everyone on here has contributed financially to k-state in some way, be it tuition, tickets, merchandise, etc. Some on here might donate, or plan on it at some point. Make your voice heard, it's your right. I worked in the athletic department and you'd probably be amazed how much work they put into determining the general fan bases opinion and factoring it into decisions. Your leaders duty is to work for you, your duty is to hold your leaders accountable.

Maybe some fracking limestone in BSFS while we're at it?

I love what you're saying, but what's the cost of the bathrooms at the Bill gonna be? This won't be straight 20 mil for the practice facility. Plumbing and stuff will surely be a lot way up in the air like that. I have absolutely no idea how much to subtract from the total for that. But ya, I want nice things!! :ksu:

i realize that, just fighting the k-state fan perspective that we can't have nice things. anywhere in the 20 mill range can build an elite level facility.

Correct.

Iowa State's was under $10 million, in comparison.

aTm's was pretty meh compared to VTs. I agree that it would be nice if KSU would do something above and beyond for once instead of "good enough" (ie - the upper deck, OOD, etc)

EDIT: And why shouldn't we be able to? We were going to do this 20 million dollar thing to begin with. We're now supposed to make something around 7 million more per year with the new TV deal? Seems like we could bump it to 30 million, get 15 million from whatever we were doing before and use 2 years worth of the new TV money and bam, done.
