Meh. DVDs may as well be records. It just feels barbaric to have to wait for a hardcopy in the mail.

Ya I'm done with Netflix at the end of August. Sept 1 is when the new rate structure goes into effect.

For me, Netflix is one of those things that @ $10 a month seemed OK, even though I didn't use it that much. But for closer to $20 (even though it's not that much more), just seems too much. Their streaming content is too limited and not updated enough to warrant the same charge as the DVD service.

Now, I understand that they really didn't have a choice. They had to raise prices to stay in business but I just don't think it's going to work for them.

still gonna keep them, hulu and amazon. between them all I can find just about anything I want (within reason)

I just changed my account to streaming only for $7.99

With that, plus $7.99 for Hulu Plus, that's all we really need. Could probably kill cable and not miss out on anything.

its up the next day for me most of the time...same with amazon

most of the time they're up the following day. the advantage to hulu plus is that you can watch previous seasons of shows, also. we'd never watched modern family, and now we've watched both seasons through it

i guess if/when the stuff is up for viewing at Hulu isn't really important. their costs will be going up as well and pushed to the consumer just like what has happened with netflix.

Netflix product had been undervalued for a long time. They might have underestimated the viability of the remaining competition though.

don't think tucks enjoy modern family, it has gays in it.

also, arrested development wasn't funny. ok_cat's biggest pet peeve is people talking about how great a short-lived tv show was.

I think I'll change it up. probably cut the dvd's down to 2 at a time.
