The Premier League are understood to be investigating what Spurs claim were difficulties involving computer servers used in the transaction between themselves and Real, which hindered their attempts to submit the relevant paperwork on time. The club have asked for special dispensation for the transfer to be ratified.

Why would you want to do a 4-5-1? Defoe and Crouch are not the type of strikers that can play by themselves up front. Maybe when you play Inter in the Champions League it would be worth it, but if you do that in the Premiership you won't score many goals.

im pretty much just talking about the CL, trying something different against non-epl teams, but if healthy, defoe would probably be alright by himself up front, or pavlyuchenko

Chelsea's weak early schedule is going to bite them in the kiester as the travel to Manchester to take on City Sat morning.  this is a huge early season game for the Citizens. look for a brace from Milner as Tevez terrorizes the weak aging central defense of the visiting Londoners.

Nah, I'd look more for Man City fans to have their spirits crushed once again. Unless of course Terry plays like he has been the past 6 months. Then  yes, they'll tear our defense a new one.
