I wonder if any of these things have been said in this thread.
http://pigeonsandplanes.com/2013/05/10-obnoxious-things-hipsters-say-about-music/s/172822/

"They're actually not that good live."
"I was into them like, two years ago."
"I like the [insert unknown producer here] remix better."
"Have you heard their side project?"
"Their single is the worst song on the album."
"This is the most important album of the decade."
"My friend used to date the lead singer."
"I only like their early stuff."
"The radio ruined that song"
"I grew up with them."

How are these hipster? Sometimes bands suck live, side projects can open doors to new music, sometimes singles are the worst song, and sometimes bands run out of ideas and you are left with the early stuff.

No hipster would ever say "radio ruined that song" because that would admit listening to the radio

I hadn't heard of them. Catchy radio pop. I'm a little partial to Wallpaper for pop stars from the Bay:

Have been listening to the Majical Cloudz release quite a bit. It is fairly captivating.

hey asava, I'm pretty sure Mark Eitzel is playing a local show with John Murry (who I have mentioned in this thread) next month. I think I'll go.
