Just got tickets for Tool at Red Rocks. Row 14.

lolz.

I'm not a huge Tool fan, but they were free, and it's at Red Rocks.

the excuse: "they were free" pretty much works for any situation. and red rocks is pretty fuckin awesome. just don't buy the hemp ice cream.

Kind of love this video even though it is absolutely ridiculous and stupid.

James Blake, despite getting my hopes up and then quickly squashing them at every major tennis tourney, makes some fine music. dubstep. delish.

You are asking whether or not there is anyone out there that likes New Order? Ummmmm............................................ yes. I am in possession of all Joy Division, and all New Order. Substance is prolly my favorite of New Orders though. Some of my favorite bands ever. specially joy division.

More specifically, Power Corruption and Lies.

It's a good album, maybe without a super mega hit, but they are definitely moving towards the New Order electronic sound that they became super mega famous for.

depends on if you consider Blue Monday apart of the album. its an obvious direction changer for them. however, my top 3 tracks on the album are 1. Leave Me Alone, 2. Ultraviolence, 3. Your Silent Face. to me its no question that their later electronic endeavors are better in the dance category, i.e. confusion, etc.

A couple good new bands:

If you like Lenny Kravitz/softer Led Zeppelin: Earl Greyhound

http://www.nyc.gov/html/nycmg/nyctvod/html/home/nycm101.html music video @ 13:50; interview @ 9:30

If you like The Violent Femmes/poppy 80s punk: The Soft Pack
(I love the concept of these lyrics.)

Just learned of the band Strapping Young Lad recently, had one of those "Wow, I've been missing out on listening to this music for years" moments. Recently kicked myself for thinking bands like Slipknot were brutal/awesome (still like them some, just expanded my taste in metal).
