I really think J-Dilla is the most overrated guy in history. But I enjoyed what you posted.
I think it is kind of a natural thing to happen when someone dies before they become irrelevant; for fans to overstate that artists importance. Probably has happened to an extent with J Dilla, but to call him the most overrated guy in history seems a bit harsh. His influence on production and hip hop is enormous. Still, I think he was a genius. Karriem Riggins is considered one of the best drummers in the world, whether it be jazz or hip hop, and he has said he learned how to play by listening to J Dilla. You can say Dilla is overrated all you want, but when I consistently see artists pay tribute to him and recognize him as one of the greatest in that game it's hard to argue with.
