I like Alvvays a lot but, folks, that stuff with no theory around it doesn't work for tiny desk imo.

I think I would have liked both the Killers and Fallout boy if I had listened to them when they first came out.  I acknowledge that it's good music.  However, I missed them both.  I have only listened to one band that has come out since 2000 and that's Billy Strings.

I’ve added two more “new” bands to my list, which is a very significant thing for me. Goose and Eggy. They are the two best jam bands I’ve heard outside of The Dead (and their offshoots) and Billy Strings. God damn they are both good. Only listen to their live albums or you aren’t listening to them at their best.

I'm only into the second song of Goose's 2023 live album and I'm hooked. Solid.

Check out this live album of theirs.  The 12/31/2022 show. In my opinion, top to bottom, best one they have.

Toby Keith died.  That guy had a bazillion very good songs.

Should’ve Been a Cowboy is one of the best country songs ever, imo.

Also Toby was famously on the field in a Canadian tuxedo with Barry Switzer for the 2000 OU game in Manhattan.

I think he’s been to many/most of the OU games in MHK since then.

Sorry to jump in during the Toby Keith talk, but I'll forget to mention this if I don't post it now. I think almost everyone I know on this board would like the new album "Portraits" from Quarters of Change. Shitty band name, but very enjoyable music!

And if you're into Chicat music such as Colony House, the album "Pick-Up Full of Pink Carnations" from The Vaccines might be right up your alley!

What blows my mind is that writers like Bob aren't more famous. This is a ballad.
