Give this a shot.  some of it will work better for different parts of your workout.  Let me know what you like/don't like.

Binary Star's "Masters of the Universe" is one of the best hip hop albums ever.  Also check out Abstract Tribe Unique's "Mood Pieces."

I listen to podcasts when shooting around. Highly recommend it.
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

I just checked iTunes, and it's coming out March 9th.  The name of the album is "Plastic Beach."  Hopefully it lives up to the hype.

Roxy Music is absolutely amazing (See my profile pic!). The first two albums with Brian Eno are absolutely epic to any Glam-Rock enthusiast. Truly ahead of their time along with Bowie and the Velvet Underground. The next two albums sans Eno hold their own as well. Country Life is actually the one that kick-started me down my decade long Roxy infatuation. After that, there are some good singles but the albums get a little to "adult contemporarty" for my taste.

However, there are still some real gems to be found listening to some of Bryan Ferry's solo work. Also Eno's solo albums, "Here Come the Warm Jets" and "Taking Tiger Mountain by Strategy" rival any of the Roxy albums in pure epic eliteness.

I think Siren is my favorite Roxy Music album, doesn't seem too adult contemporary, but I know what you mean with the stuff after that.

New Gorillaz out in the last few days... what's the verdict? Damon Albarn alway lit my candle btw.

It's streaming on NPR's Web site.

Need to give it another listen, but it didn't really impress me that much initially, and I was really excited for it. But the title track with Mick Jones and Paul Simonon is still a thing of beauty.

Good hip hop, esp. Nas + Damian Marley and B.O.B. (Kanye beat!)

And I am a sucker for reverb and country music and this includes both:

+1 on the B.O.B. and kanye beat
-1 for Asher Roth being apart of it

anyone enjoy the new spoon album?
Also the black keys project with the rap, "Blakroc", is pretty awesome

may be old news but...
Bon Iver
Animal Collective
Fleet Foxes
Cage the elephant
The Temper Trap
Miike Snow (spelling is correct)
Manchester orchestra

Moreland & Arbuckle- delta blues band that used to play in mhk before becoming too elite... my dad did the photography for one of their albums so maybe I'm biased.

edit* Moreland & Arbuckle are actually elite as they are playing a few shows with george thorogood in the future

+1 on both.  However, I hope Auerbach ditches the hip hop thing and sticks with the keys.  Really looking forward to the new album, one of my favorite bands
