Maybe Jordan cant process thoughts very well, and had a hard time relaying the information from his brain to his keyboard. Because like you said, it does make more sense for an OU coach to say that. But with my own two eyes i read the sentence.

If you are John Currie, do you want to make the next football coach hire or not?  

You could make the argument that it's a winless position to be in, and that it would be in his best interest to move on before that time.  Although, I firmly believe he'll make the decision with very little input from Snyder.
