First, I thought this was a coffee chain thread....

Could be a life choice.  I almost died on mine.

As far as pricing them, you actually can bluebook them if you have a "name brand" scooter (e.g. Genuine, Vespa, Yamaha, Honda).

Are you looking at buying a Chinese scoot?

Below was my first scoot, that was Chinese and I sooped it up...took it from a top speed of 35 to roughly 45 (Lsoc bought it from me)

Then I got this beauty...but was forced to sell it as well.

Mine is FOR SALE.  It is super modified and driven by 2 of the more elite posters on this board.  Pete and I might even autograph it for you.

I can vouch for this scoot.  It has an improved "HIT" clutch, kevlar belt, and Dr. Pulley roller weights that all add up to one very fast little bugger.  PLUS, as far as the cops can prove, it's still under the 50cc limit and therefore you do NOT need a motorcycle license.

Technically, it goes fast enough that you need one, but if you keep that on the down low you'll be fine....all the paper work would show a cop that you don't need a motorcycle license.

Dlew12 juts scootin' around MHK.  Parking garage?  Oh, that won't be necessary. I usually just park right next to Eisenhower.

Thanks for the lookout Pete, but the thing is a total piece.  It doesn't get above 25.

You should try running as fast as you can... say 16-18 MPH headfirst into a concrete wall and then make a decision on the helmet.

That sounds like a pretty dumb idea.  I'll probably just try to avoid running into concrete walls.

Actually, two years ago we tried to get the scoot into Harley Day.  There was an online auction for the final spot and I bid on it a few times before it got too expensive.  Rick Daris was contemplating riding on the back, IIRC.

Anyway, I don't have my scoot anymore, so that's a dream that will die.
