Fwiw I've been there a few times when it's sucked. I'd say its hit and miss but it's the only game in town so I roll with it.

My head nearly exploded when I saw that quote.  Hey at least they can print up their own sympathy cards, probably even use their employee discount and stuff.   :flush:

I'll eat Via's, though it's not my first choice.  It's better than a lot of crap (Gambino's, Buzzards, the chains) depending on what you order.   Their biggest issues are product consistency and service times.       Can't say there are any local pizza places I consider fabulous.   I do really like the Taco from Pizagel's though.

I've heard good things about AJs though.

Seemed like this would fit here:

So I went out to dinner with one of my friends that plays on the softball team. She was wearing her WU softball sweats and the server notices and talks my friends' ear off about it. Then later comes back with our food and talks her ear off again. Only this time the server decides to start throwing the word dyke around when talking about some of her former teammates when she played at Washburn.

My friend is a lesbian and not that that changes anything, but of course she didn't appreciate the comment one bit. So I left her a 0 dollar tip and as I was getting up I told her to never use the word dyke around customers again. Boom Roasted, amirite?

Me too, my grandmother was one of your librarians.

Yes, it is a grade school now. The school board, in it's infinite wisdom, closed the two poorest and troubled grade schools, E.I. (where I went) and Lyman, to combine them at Logan and make one gigantic craphole of a grade school.

Lyman Elementary  :gocho:

Got out of Topeka after grade school but still have fond memories, though I would never live there again.

Best Steak -North Star

Best Mexican- Rosa's before it closed....don't give a damn what anyone says.

Best Burger- The Pad

I remember a burger joint called birds nest or something that I enjoyed when I was like 7-8. Anyone remember this place?

There was also a small hole in the wall place that made great home made pies. Cant remember the name right now.
