Meiers is good for hard to find stuff, just west of 29th and Fairlawn (Barrington Village). Also agree with 33.

Brix in village pointe is where I used to go (only for really rare beers, otherwise HyVee was really good) I miss being able to buy alcohol at the grocery store

Not. Selection is meh and prices are high.

yeah, hyvee has prolly the third best beer selection in town behind brix and beertopia which is ridiculous to say coming from ks.

Selection, and it's proximity to the places I hang out at in Topeka. That being said, I haven't been to many liquor stores in Topeka, but my friends from Topeka all thought it was the best.

Is Tailgaters at 21st and Urish any good? Looks ok from the outside, but I have a sneaking suspicion that its full of white trash on the inside, can anyone confirm/deny? TIA

Tailgaters is nicer than most of the sports bars in Topeka. It's usually filled with the non white trash part of topekans. It's also alot smaller than other bars.

Tailgaters is usually good one to go to. Except for 2 Fridays ago the Chiefs preseason game was on so it was white trashed up quite a bit.

There was a random TV on a wall that was tuned in to Univision, we got a kick out of trying to figure out what was going on in the soap opera, or should I say telenovela that was on.

Ate there for the first time a couple months ago. It was like 9 pm, zero cars in the drive thru, and it took like 10 mins to get my food. Groundbeef tasted like nothing, like the special seasoning was actually lukewarm water. Wouldn't say it was terrible but really bland and not worth even considering a second chance.

yes it sucks, and the salsa is basically a can of tomato paste with a jar of peppers thrown in
