This is like getting upset about the Chiefs playing on Christmas. The whole point is entertainment. We played a close game against a ranked opponent when people were starved for football. It’s not that complicated.

it certainly wasn’t entertainment. this was a week zero game in which our team wasn’t prepared and played like crap. there is no scenario where having an extra week of practice leading up to a home game against a midline opponent wouldn’t have been better for the program. none of this is hindsight, either.

We played ISU at the beginning of this season the same way we played them at the end of the last three. Yer grasping at straws lad.

i honestly don’t know how to respond to this level of negativity. i’ll just assume that you think that not having another week of practice and opening up the season halfway across the world against one of the league’s better teams is the best approach. i just don’t think you’re much of a football guy based on this take.
