I hope this is a bump, but if I'm honest with myself I don't think things will change under Klieman. But maybe 8-4 is where we are in modern cfb.

I’ll feel a lot better about the season if Edwards turns out to be alright. Defense’s inability to stop ISU in the fourth quarter was concerning, though.

Klieman needs to stop going for it on 4th in field goal range when a field goal would take the lead. That was worse than going for it inside his own 30.

Did you see our extra points? He knows our kicking situation is crap. We'll be going for it on fourth a lot this year (well assuming we get many chances which is TBD).

And whose fault is that, expecialling in the portal era. And his special teams cost us a game right out of the gate and yet he refuses to find a special teams coach.

Going for it isn’t the problem. It’s his 4th and short play calling that’s the problem. Has been for years, so it can’t be just an OC thing.

Yeah, I don’t hate the decision. I do hate throwing it short twice when you need 3 yards. Are we the only team in the country with 1 and 2 yard pass plays? We are at least the only team dumb enough to use them both in the same game and obviously fail.
