Rock Springs is pretty much the worst town in America.

Only saw 3 bears. 2 brown and one giant black one. Hundreds of bison. One lady walked towards the main giant herd and we left before she got gored to death. Hundreds of elk. Was all pretty cool. I took 800 photos with my new camera (see photography thread). I'll upload a few of them later this week.

Can you still see remnants of the fires in '88?  That's the only time I was there.  Smoke everywhere, but pretty freakin cool.

It's pretty cool. They have the scarred trees that stick up above the new trees. The new trees are growing pretty fast. Already 10-20 feet tall.

Could you feel the ground rise beneath you, as it was readying itself to explode?

Seeing all the geysers and hot springs definitely made me remember the power underneath me.
