The type writer made the Church Cookbook possible which helped to document the history of the covered dish dinner.

A bisque is definitely a type of soup. It's a 'all bisques are soups but not all soups are bisques' situation.

No, I'd consider chowder a chowder. If someone offered me "Clam Soup," I would think picture something different than Clam Chowder.
