Gonna get super weird when the NIL money dries up next year.

eh, the product on the floor will look very similar to what we see today

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Do we need more Buddy Rich? I would prefer to at least watch some cool slam dunks while we lose.

I have LBBIQ, but letting tiny white guys dribble all around you and do whatever they want and at the same time getting out rebounded by a team with a bunch of tiny white guys on it does not give me confidence for conference play. :dunno:

IMO team defense (like knowing what to do) and effort are the two biggest challenges I see. Those are much easier to correct than like being small or unable to shoot or something

HOPEFULLY!!!

Question for smart basketball people types. One thing that always drives me nuts is when a defender picks up his guy just after half court and gets smoked. This happened a lot last night. What is the point of picking up your guy so high when you know he can blow right by you? Wouldn't it be more affective to pick him up just above the 3 or closer to traffic? This team is just atrocious at defending overall, but I noticed this a lot.

It’s allowed. Just because it’s called a “steal” doesn’t make it illegal.

Nothing wrong with picking up high and inviting drives if you're filtering him to shot blockers and have good rotations. I think the problem is they seem clueless when it comes to helping and "helping the helper"

Maybe the guys can get healthy today. I guess there is a team called "Longwood" that they will face.

Liberty went 9/20 from 3. According to kenpom and _FAN stats, apparently that's a crap shoot and there's not much a defense can do to affect you opponent's 3pt%. But going under on screens would probably be the number 1 way to help a team hit 3s.

What a bummer. Hang Nowell's jersey from the rafters because he's clearly the only reason we thought Tang was a good coach.

You can make them take fewer threes to your point about going under screens.

And settle down lol

I share the same sentiment. This is goEMAW. We are the last of the good/reasonable KSU fans. If the posts are too loud then you are either too old or ok with mediocrity  :eye:

You would need to define mediocrity but yeah I'm probably OK with mediocrity if there are good kids playing hard. :cyclist:

is Hawkins 100%?  I haven't watched a lot but I just haven't seen why his price was so high.

He had something done to his knee in the off season. I didn't watch him last year but he looks a step or two slower this year than we need him to be.

MIR if you were to take over the basketball with the current roster. What is the one thing you have everyone doing differently that will get you better results by the end of december?

Go back to May and build a different roster. I don't like this mix of guys, at all.

This is the best answer to this question. No notes. I agree big time. Feels like there is a massive lack of chemistry and I think that hurts a basketball team a lot.

Greg didn't ask me, but I would say that Dug and Castillo should be playing nearly constantly and we should be trying to drive a bunch, dishing to Hausen and or ooping to whoever else is on the court at the time.

Dug's minutes will be fine, he played 30 minutes last night and got the shots at the end. Castillo, looks dece, but he needs more seasoning. I'm disappointed that he got such little playing time last night. Hausen needs to be more selective with his shots.

We might be really bad. I mean, they could learn to pass, rebound, defend, and not turn it over every possession at some point, but it doesn’t look likely.
