KSU Picked #8 in B12 Conference Preview

KSU picked 8/16 in this Big 12 Preview, same ranking as the Preseason Poll.

No Wildcats were selected in any of the preseason awards. Has a projected lineup that consists of all five transfers and talks a bit about Achor Achor as a player to watch as he was a mid-major standout.

Max Jones is hurt.  Have not heard how long.

I agree that Achor x2 will be good.

I think CJ Jones is going to be very good for us.

It is wild how good the B12 is going to be this year.  We have half of the preseason top 10 teams.  We are going to beat the crap out of each other and it's going to be glorious.

There wasn't a bunch to go off of last night, but every one of our new guys that played looks like a player.  We are tall AF and can move.  Dug is 6'-1" and looks small on the court next to the rest of the team.  Coleman has great handles for his size, DNG looks a hair smoother than last year and otherwise seems to be plugged right back in to end of season form, Dug is quick and looks like he will be able to create well once everyone has each other's timing down.  Expect Hausen to shoot every time he touches the ball.  Tang basically said he is ok with that as long as his % sticks.  He said that a lot of coaches want a 40% 3pt kid, but most of them don't want to see 6 misses.  He then immediately said that he doesn't mind seeing 6 misses.  It seems he has a permanent green light.

Castillo didn't play much and made two bonehead mistakes on passes when he was.  He otherwise looked ok, just seems a hair out of sync, but pretty much everyone did.  I think we are going to see huge team growth over the next 3-5 games.

Kind of wild you can be the big swinging dick in NIL and still come up with a middle of the pack team in the conference.

Yeah, with the Big 12 MBB being the SEC++ of MBB, anyone who finishes top 8 is easy in the tourny, and anyone 9-12 will be given heavy consideration.

For sure, and I expect us to probably be 7-2 or so at home, and 3-6 or so on the road. 10-8. And I suspect only the best teams will be 4-5 or 5-4 on the road in this league.

Why would the can-do Cats settle of eighth when seventh is available?
