Ironically probably cause he didn’t trust that Avery would have the presence of mind to make a quick read and throw the ball out of bounds if it wasn’t there.

Meh it was like 4th and 5. I had no issues with that call. I also liked running another play on 3rd down, but they got headset communication, don’t they? I sure hope they were telling Avery he needed to dump it in 10 seconds.
