Some say that hotdish is different from a casserole because it must be a main course and can't be a side dish or breakfast. Others say that a Tater Tot casserole is essentially the same as a Tater Tot hotdish, but that green bean casserole isn't a hotdish because it's a side.

Add hamburger to your GBC to convert it to a hotdish. A.I. HATES this one simple trick.

I had never heard the term "hot dish" before this week when someone from around beloit shared a map that showed a portion of kansas as the "hotdish midwest" and they agreed with it and I just assumed it was like a covered dish.

You can't convince me that hotdish is referring to spice and not temperature

You don’t cover it to keep the spices in!

Right, to me hotdish implies cooked and needs to be kept warm (hot) to serve. I suppose conversely a cold dish (not used much) would imply either something cooked/prepped but is served cold/chilled, like a charcuterie board or cold cuts or like potato salad.

his dog is named Scout and he was a rescue who was left on the side of the road in OK when he was a puppy

The Dogue issue of Vogue explains how Scout came into the lives of the Walz family. "Before Scout was the First Dog of Minnesota, he was Gene, an abandoned rescue. At 11 weeks old, someone left him and his nine littermates on the side of a rural road in Oklahoma. Many had crawled down and gotten stuck in a ravine right before a rainstorm. A woman named Kathy discovered them. With the help of her son, she coaxed them all out before the area flooded. They knew if they didn’t get them all out now, they never would."

Midwest Animal Rescue and Services posted the adoption listing for Gene online. Within several days, MARS had an application from the Walz family. They rechristened him as Scout. “I’m proud that Minnesota’s First Dog is a rescue dog, and I hope Scout—who has been a very good boy—serves as a reminder for Minnesotans that there are a lot of pups waiting to be adopted,” the governor said at the time.

based on the number of tortillas, I'm guessing 2. I don't think I will be eating the tacos at this establishment! But I was blown away that tuna and mayo tacos exist at a restaurant.

seems like a pretty normal trying-to-be-fancy style fusion taco.  i read the menu as saying two tortillas per taco, not two tacos per order.
