I read something yesterday that says that Trump can't just drop him due to some rules around him already being made at the RNC.  That said, he could surely back out on his own. 

I am assuming that the money behind Project 2025 want him there so that he can be their applicator to the federal government, to make sure as much of their P2025 plans are implemented.  Trump has a history of wanting the admin side of the Presidency implemented by others.  I would think that JD is there for a reason and that Trump would have a lot of internal issues if he waivered on that.

JD reinvents himself all the time, this won’t be a problem.  He’ll decide all by himself that he needs to go focus on his family, change his name again, and/or decide Trump is a Nazi again. Or maybe that Trump isn’t Nazi enough? Obviously we can only speculate, because it’s been proven to be impossible to predict what JD’s deepest convictions and core beliefs will be at any point in the future.

Yeah, the dems need to double/triple down on women's reproductive rights and just appeal to all women as much as they can. It's proven to be a winning strategy in places you'd not expect (see Kansas in the abortion vote). They should be able to lock up well over 50%+ percent of the vote just doing that. Continually belittling women, especially post Roe V Wade being overturned is dangerous for the pubs.
