Kyle Ball was a favorite in my friend group since he went to the same HS as one of my buddies. We used to call him Kyle "The Sack Machine" Ball.

Fast forward to a couple of years ago and I was talking to a random coworker whose last name was Ball and he mentioned his son had played football at ole KSU a couple of years ago. I immediately blurted out "Wait....Your son was the sack machine!?" and he was just like, uh his name was Kyle and we both had a great laugh.

You're thinking of Alex Delton who went to TCU for his final season when he realized he wasn't going to be able to beat Skylar Thompson out for the starting job. Barnes left for the NFL (which he never really made) after his junior season. Both of these events occurred after the 2018 season had finished and Bill was shown the door.
