Defenders that actually tackle people. Like, all the way to the ground so the play stops.

No idea if he is half as good as big brother, but he couldn't hurt?

His guy, safety from North Dakota State. I'm just going to assume he's ours. Didn't play this year because of foot surgery. Had 8 interceptions last year, eight.

Before this season, I would've been much more excited about our track record with Dback transfers.

I think this year is a one-year aberration in the secondary. Klandy, Malone and Klieman are all good DB guys and we’ve shown to have good to great secondaries every season but this one.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I hope and think you're probably right. Riley was so frustrating this year.  You can see why they wanted him because he was around the play a bunch but he also typically wasn't able to make the play.

I'd like to imagine this is a Howard/Johnson thing where he sees the writing on the wall due to the frosh class of stud OL that redshirted this year

I don't know...this portal thing is really starting to make college athletics not as fun.  I'm having a hard time getting attached to athletes like I would in the past because my brain tells me they won't be around long.  It seems impossible for coaches to create a positive locker room environment when half or more of your team turns over every year.  I keep hearing if kids don't get playing time or NIL $ they expect they become pain in the ass all season.  Most of these kids bitching about NIL money haven't performed to deserve it and end up entering the portal to find more money and still don't perform and deserve it.  A lot of these players don't develop like they should because they bounce around.  Kids don't want to stay at a program to accept the development.

The best QB in the league is a kid that was no longer wanted at a major program because they had to ensure their freshman blue chip started.  The freshman ended up sucking, program had its worst record in 20 years, and the QB that got forced out is probably going to play for a National Championship.

It's a rough ridin' mess.  Add in the ESPN/SEC/big 10 love affair and it's really killing my interest.

Howard:Johnson :: Willis:Howard

Actually, no idea if Baby Howard is the same position as Willis

Not surprised Keegan is leaving. He never really got going due to injuries. Guessing he ends up on a low end P4 or mid tier G5 where expectations are low and he can thrive if healthy. Seems we’re going heavily after productive lower level WRs in the portal. I’m guessing we try to land a couple of those types and let our young guys battle with them for spots. I’m also expecting Cure to get a lot of run as a big receiver.

Always felt he was a pretty good player for us, despite injuries limiting his full potential. Typically gave good effort, even in the run game, while sacrificing targets.
