Weird/Cool places you have been or want to go to.

Hello all, this came up around the watercooler this morning. Are there any odd places you have visited that ended up being worth your time that could be considered weird or cool?

I would like to visit the Dr. Pepper Museum in Waco sometime as I follow them on Instagram. I also think visiting the Braums Dairy in Oklahoma would be cool as heck. Most of mine are centered around food...

Would recommend the Great Pyramids of Giza. Also, there is a place on the way to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon called the Jacob Lake Inn that makes enormous, delicious cookies and I would highly recommend it:

White Sands National Park.

You can do a 5 mile hike through the dunes in your bare feet.  It is fantastic.  Just pick a day when it is not a million degrees out.  February is a good month for that.

I don't think weird but the UP michigan.  Never comes up in the "where should we go on vacation" convos but I later hear about it and am like "damn, that wouldn't even be that hard to get to"

I've always thought Japan would be cool but I just want to be zapped there and not deal with the amount of travel it takes.

I mentioned in the CC thread but a Southeast Asia cruise is my bucket list trip.

Also, Japan was worth the trip.  I did Tokyo but started hearing that Kyoto is very badass from everyone I talked about Japan with.
