Louisville is a pretty good win. I think if you looked around you'd find the b12's best win (alabama) being so good is an outlier

The SECs best non conference win as a whole is Louisville?  I really don't know how they can come out and put Alabama in.  If they do, they need to go full bbs'n and put Georgia in too.

Alabama v. Fla. St. is the tough one. I don't care which one makes it, but if I had to make an argument, it would be that Alabama is just a better team, and FSU's schedule was weak.

A road win against a top 5 team is as good of a non con win that a conference could have during any given year. The only comparison I could think of, without looking it up, is when OU and Baker Mayfield won at Ohio State. While the Louisville win is certainly blunted given two things; the win was by the what 8th/9th best team in the SEC, and the team who they are comparing their conference best against, just completely smothered that same Louisville team.

The larger Louisville point is that the SEC has done nothing at all, on the field, to show that they are worthy of ignoring metrics and on field results to jump any other conference champion.

Next year is the start of the 12 team playoff.  No conference champ of the ACC (or Big 12) will be left out again.

rough ridin' nuts. Why did they not penalize them last week but did this week? Makes zero sense. Also they can't make the best team argument while moving Alabama ahead of FSU but moving Georgia behind them. This was simply putting an SEC team in the four.

It's the big 2 conferences now.  Thank God they expanded to 12.  Let's just hope they don't revoke autobid for Big 12.

I think the committee had to face a very real question: which fan base would be most likely to attempt to assassinate us if we left them out? For that reason I think bama was an obvious choice. Don't get me wrong, being a committee member is a cushy gig, but these people did not enlist in the Marines. And if you're not in the armed forces I think you have a reasonable expectation of being able to do your job without someone killing you because of it
