It's so thrilling to be excited about K-State hoops in May and witnessing a coach building on success. One can just hear the phones ringing and internet buzzing with season-ticket requests upon word that yet another dude will be wearing purple. To think, all it took was a visionary coach with drive, sincerity and -- as Pullen said -- a concept and faith in building a team identity. With that, true Wildcat fns who rooted for the Cats through a decade of what all must admit was uninspired, tepid and somolant leadership rejoiced in the vibrant charisma and instant success of the new regime.
The days of constant whining and excuse making now seem as remote as the Dark Ages, which they were for anyone longing for entertaining and imaginative hoops in Manhattan. The losery dire woe-is-me drumbeat has been so thankfully replaced by a confident staff willing to make bold promises of success and conceding the advantage to no one. I'm irreligious as a stone, but for this new and fresh atmosphere I shout "Praise be."
