Wait, did Marquis IRL say "watch this" to Isaiah Thomas before that reverse dunk oop????
Like I said, that was the moment I realized we were invincible.
We'll need more of those
Has there been a better play in the history of KSU athletics???
Nothing comes off the top of my head, plenty of great plays from 2003 CCG and other stuff, but in terms of situation and stakes it's incredibly high up there.
For me, the "more of those" plays needs to happen in terms of their bold and daring, it reminded me (seeing the replay) a ton of the ku game alley-oop. This is much higher stakes, but situationally very similar in terms of the "holy crap that just happened" feel
I was in high school when Rolando hit the baseline jumper to beat Oregon State. That had been the top NCAA moment for me and Cats basketball.
I am thinking it got displaced last night by the alley oop in OT.

Tom I appreciate the elder statesman of the board thing you have going on here. Lots of youngs and Too Cool For Ahearn'rs on this board but I have always been into how you drop a dose of history and come at it with that valuable perspective. To hear you say this tops the Rolando shot makes me believe it.
That game was absolutely incredible. So happy for everybody, but especially the NYC boys. Michigan State's last possession in OT nearly killed me but goddamn, what a time for our defense to step up. Not only did we steal and seal it with a full-court 'quis reverse layup at the end, but man, everything that came before that was so incredible too. We got on every dude who touched the ball on that last possession and frustrated the crap out of them. Just absolutely rose to the occasion.
