No self perceived slight of Kansas City gets by WackyTowny

cRusty, if K-State makes the NCAA tourney and goes to BHAM, I'll be happy to share recomendos on where to stay, eat, and what to do in Birmingham.  For what most would consider a long sports weekend, but some here consider . . . vacation

I'm sure all those towns have stuff more interesting than generic decent breweries and restaurants (which literally any city in america has). Like off the top of my head I know Birmingham has a Civil Rights museum and Albany has some wild architecture.
Yeah the capitol building in Albany is ridiculous!

The hits! Stare at the beautiful mountains, hit up barts cave at casa bonita, sling dollar bills at the divers there, local downtown breweries rock, legal cannabis for my homies, awesome foodie seen, and high fiving my peeps in purple.

If K-State goes to BHAM

If you're into racing, particularly motorcycles it's hard to beat this place for a visit

https://www.barbermuseum.org/

It's likely (but not always) going to be warm/warmer, so if you like golf, try to book a stay here

If your significant other likes quaint shopping districts and related, book your stay here

This is right down the street from the arena

Geography?

There's people who can have a long weekend just about anywhere and have fun and do interesting things, and then there's hyper provincial sticks in the mud who bitch and moan that it's just not like home or isn't as exciting as one of the approximately 3 maybe 4 (and even that's debatable) destination larger cities in these United States.

We aren’t actually going to have to play our first round games in Alabama right?!

I'll be watching from my couch no matter where we play but I love our players and don't want to force them to be in Alabama.
