i love getting them indoctrinated at such a young age
My nephew is two and asks to have Wildcat Victory sang to him at bed time. I clap the tempo and we sing it at his bedtime.

there's something a little bit off about his gait

He's carrying around two titanium balls as big as oranges.

Dude apparently, unprompted, unscheduled, visited a sick young girl at Children's Mercy, this freaking morning. Such a great man.

big 12 championships after year 1:
oscar - 1
tang - 0

anyone who says "oscar had frank's players", nowell and johnson (2 players that fell in tang's lap) were far better than rodriguez and mcgruder. that roster actually looks really mid and oscar got them some hardware.

I would be fine if we stopped worshipping him now.  He got his ass owned by a team missing its best big on a home floor.

Good points.  Weird that so, so many people hated oscar. So, so, so many.  Free country I guess.

Yep, totally weird that there were no other factors at all in the above stat. oscar was just a huge stud muffin I guess. So glad I always stood up for him.

Very weird especially in light of how quickly other universities scooped him up after his departure.

yes i mean agreed we have many dumbass fans who hated oscar despite his successes, and are giving tang a chance despite having less success so far in their careers.

oscar - 1 big 12 championship
tang - 0 big 12 championship

Just curious, what was that team's preseason big 12 ranking?  Was it last?

He doesn't have to win a game because we'll be better than a 4 seed...

Should have spent more time game planning and less time hotdogging.

Man's a gem. He gave Lil' SF a high 5 coming out of the tunnel and made his night. Getting a high 5 from KJ also helped, but it was a banner moment regardless. I bet oscar would have missed his hand.

Oh yeah?!? Well maybe bill self spent the appropriate amount of time game planning but should have spent less time hotdogging (and by hotdogging I mean eating several hot dogs at a time with extra bun and probably like mayonnaise)

just my jmho, but i think tang overachieved both in recruiting (i know last minute recruiting is a lot easier now, but still) and in coaching his roster.

they're a nice little team, and there's no reason they should be.

Not just bringing in and winning with a group of largely unheralded transfers plus a former star who hadn't played in two years, but also a brand new coaching staff first year all working together at a brand new school for them all and it's his first year as the head man.  Not to mention that he had inherited a corpse oscar had been dry humping for three straight years.  Wild.

Being a pessimist I do worry he's going to be a victim of his own success this season.

Yes very good chance we'll be worse next year and our fans will lose their ever-loving crap. I mean they already do.

But also a chance he finds another player in the portal who makes a Keyontae-esque impact.
