I saw 1 a year or so after it came out. I tried watching it again within the last year and had to turn it off, it's not a good movie.

it was pretty ground-breaking at the time, but let's be honest, it's boring.  and waiting this long for sequels just means that any interest most people had is gone. i'm not going to say that they'll bomb, but they probably won't get to the $$$ levels of the first one.

I've seen a few "slutty Avatar" Halloween costumes in the wild but the rest of that tweet is spot on.  I couldn't make it through the first movie.

I think it's cause it's so visually appealing. I'd watch the sequel but I'm also not going out of my way to do so.

Plot to the first one was yeah, Pocahontas/Daces with Wolves, just in space. Doesn't make it bad, just been done before.

Sounds like one that needs to be seen in the theater and I love sci-fi movies so I know what I need to do.

I didn’t mind it. The frame rate difference I could tell and thought it was fine. I enjoyed the first one a lot more tho.

Mrs. Schreds drug me to the theater to see that abomination.  It was 3 hours of 3D hell.

Yes. Def theater, prob IMAX, but not 3D.

Lol, the bad guy in this season’s bachelorette referenced an avatar scene in this week’s episode.
