Legit Question about the Cats future titles...
« on: December 07, 2022, 02:48:51 PM »
Hey guys, I have always thought that the old K-State (Snyder 2.0) was built to win the big 12 say every 4 years. I also somewhat held that standard for Klieman. I think that standard changes significantly with the trend for recruiting and if the Sugar Bowl ends up going well.
I didn't know if you guys had an expected Dr. Pepper appearance rate like I did. I am currently trying to decide if my bar is currently set too low for Klieman and Co.
Disclaimer: I have no idea why four years was the number I came up with and was a standard for me but it is.

Where will they break ground for the massive new trophy room we are going to need?

There’s really no good reason we can’t be the Oklahoma of the new Big 12, imo.

This is exactly how I feel about all of it as well.

I think we won't ever see another OU type dominating the conference.

I’d be happy with consistently being top half of Big 12 and legitimately challenging for the conference championship every third year or so.

I am kinda hoping we are consistently top quarter and challenge for a conference championship every year.

Correct. None of the teams in this conference will be anywhere close to deep enough to go on a run of championships. The best programs in this conference will be 9 win programs who will be a stroke of good luck from a national championship run but a stroke of bad luck from 6-7.

Why not us?

If we actually win a title every 4 years for the next 40 years (adding Collin as HCIW) it'll be a fun ass ride.

Overall, I m going to enjoy being one of the very relevant programs in a conference that isn't watered down to protect the Mich/tOSU/Bama of the world

Every 10 years is fine.  Winning the league is rough ridin' hard.

My old big12 standards were to make a bowl game every year, compete for a big12 championship every 3-4 years and win a big12 championship every 10 years.

Now that we have gotten rid of OUT my standards are to make a bowl game every year, compete for a championship every 2-3 years and win a big12 championship every 5 years.

I doubt we will go on an OU type run but we should be playing in Arlington alot in the next 10 years.

Agree

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

i think we're going to contend every year until klieman retires. we lost our qb1 halfway through, i think our ol was kind of banged up? lost 3 linebackers pretty much before the season that would have seen time, lost so many db's, and we still won it all. we are the kings now.

This league will be incredibly competitive and hard for any team to dominate.
