Why does TCU (Texas Catholic University) want to be our rival so bad?

You all must be joking but TCU isn’t a Catholic school. Texas Christian University is affiliated with the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).  The First Christian Church history began two hundred years ago on the American frontier when many people from different cultural and church backgrounds were thrown together in search of religious freedom in the American West. I know, nobody cares.

Sounds like a bunch of old west nut jobs met up on their horses and invented a new religion. No thanks.

It’s a pretty big cult, they have a church in Manhattan.

Not a chance.  Everyone knows that a horned lizard aka "horny toad" is a real animal.  Those dorks are so scared of witchcraft that they had to call themselves a horned frog because toads are known associates of witches.  Oh, and they also make their women leave campus if they start their periods.  Baylor doesn't even do that.

I went to the game there in 2014. They do a good job of keeping the snakes out of the stadium but I saw multiple tailgates where TCU fans were speaking in tongues and holding up snakes.

They are super weird.

Seems like I always see their commercials about going to a website and signing up for online classes through Texas Catholic.   

The commercials bounce from scene to scene; single mom staying up late at night, high school dropout working on a laptop with the kids playing video games in the background.  That kind of stuff.

Thats the Baylor Baptists in Waco. Texas Catholic used to be based in Waco too until they had a "outsiders" type brawl and the Catholics got their ass kicked so bad they decided to move their school to Dallas.

What's this nonsense about "Disciples of Christ?" Never have seen a Disciples of Christ church that wasn't a repurposed house or storefront or some prefab warehouse with a steeple slapped on top of it. Those poors couldn't support a Big 12 institution. I
