I think* Pervin Liar could still get the job done, and would absolute demand the AD, old players, starter jackets, etc bend the knee in submission. I’m talking annual favorites to win the B10 West and perennial CFP contenders for a few years before burning the place down on his way out.

This is perfect for him. He can save his buyout money from Auburn, live cheaply in Lincoln for 3-4 years, then take his buyout money from Nebraska and dominate the NHRA.
